The Winter White 2011, LaKyrsiew Garden (Meghalaya)

Young, boutique and family run, LaKyrsiew was planted in 2001 on fresh organic soil and produces a total of just 1,500kg of tea per year with a passion for flavour.

At the end of the year, plant growth slows and LaKyrsiew can produce a few kilos of Winter White tea. This is the excellent 2011 picking of which 6.6kg were made in November.

The tea is complex, long and taking on more character with time. A properly made white tea will age. Currently, elderberry, anise, caraway and gin-like spice.

Infuse 4-8g per 150ml with 65°C for 5 mins. Can infuse at least 4 times.
